Yo les iba a preguntar que es eso del DTs porque todos mis DVDs dicen Dolby digital y nada mas, que onda con eso del DTS batos :?:

Bienvenido Wilfredo!!! Y que onda Kato, no soy uno de los expertos en el tema de este foro, pero te contestaré lo que sé. El DTS es un sistema de sonido que fue inventado para exhibir "Jurassic Park" pero con el impacto y la popularidad que tuvo de inmediato, las grandes producciones se comenzaron a aprovechar del sistema, al grado de que actualmente casi no hay cinta comercial de los grandes estudios con cierto atractivo en taquilla que no use este sistema. El DTS tiene 5.1 canales de sonido(o 6.1 en el caso del DTS-ES) igual que el Dolby Digital, pero es mucho mas eficaz y espectacular en Home Teathers porque: 1.- Ocupa un mayor espacio en el disco y su compresión es mucho menor 2.- Refuerza mas los bajos y le da mas potencia a tu subwoofer 3.- Se nota mas la separación de canales, por lo que es mas realista 4.- Las voces y en general los sonidos tienen mayor nitidez, son mas claras y reales.

Aunque es cierto que hay tracks en Dolby 5.1 que no le piden nada a uno en DTS (Star Wars, Saving Private Ryan), siempre es un gran incentivo para comprar un dvd. Y seguro, segurisimo que en tu estante hay uno o mas dvd´s equipados con DTS, buscale bien, que no son pocos los que usan este sistema. Te recomiendo que te cheques tracks dts de : TODA la linea Superbit de Columbia, Soldado ryan, El aro, Lord of the rings extendidas, La lista de Schindler, Hulk, Terminator 2 y 3, Kill Bill, Las 2 x-men, Daredevil, ID4 Extendida, Minority report, Pulp Fiction R1, Reservoir dogs R1, E.T., Se7en, Moulin rouge, Chicago, Pearl Harbor, Alien y Alien Resurreción, Jurassic Park R1, El rey león, Tornado, Otro dia para morir, Las 2 versiones de el planeta de los simios, Encuentros cercanos del tercer tipo, Identidad desconocida, American beauty R1, Road to perdition R1 y un LARGO LARGO LARGO etc, etc, etc, etc.

Muchas gracias a todos por la calruosa bienvenida. Sé que la pasaré muy bien en este foro. Ya añadí otra DTS a mi colección COLD MOUNTAIN. También me compré ayer un nuevo amplificador (Panasonic SA-XR25) con decodificador DTS-ES y Dolby Digital-EX. Así que tengo que investigar cuáles de las películas DTS que tengo son DTS-ES. Si alguien conoce este detalle de alguna se agradece la información.

Felicidades por el ampli nuevo, Wilfredo!!!! De las que tienes DTS-ES te recomiendo Gladiador R1, The Lord of the rings extended (las mejores hasta ahora en DTS-ES), Austin Powers: Goldmember y E.T.

Con tracks DD-EX checate entre otras: El club de la pelea, ET, El señor de los anillos, Austin Powers Goldmember, Juana de Arco, Star wars, El planeta de los simios de Burton, Terminator, Pollitos en fuga (me parece) y Terminator 2 Extreme Edition.

Gracias por la explicacion Sergio, pero ahora ustedes me salieron mas cabrones que bonitos. Apenas le estoy agarrando la onda al DTS y ahora me salen conque tambien hay un DTS-Es o como sea.

Mi disque coleccion apenas llega a 9 DVDs y hasta me da pena decirlo pero tiene poco que empece a comprarlos porque estan re cariñosos, ademas no tenia todavia donde tocar los DVDs

No te me asustes, Kato, el DTS-ES no es otro sistema, es el mismo que el DTS pero con otro canal central trasero. Tiene la misma señal que el DTS y si no tienes ampli 6.1 ó DTS-ES no hay pex, es totalmente compatible con el DTS "normal".
