In honor of West Side Story's 50th Anniversary Release 50 professional dancers spontaneously burst into WEST SIDE STORY-style choreography in Times Square on Friday, November 11, 2011.

Here are some details about the Flash Mob:

The Blu-ray for the first time on November 15th. The flash mob was organized by YouTube partnership network DanceOn (http://www.YouTube.com/DanceOn) with help from choreographer Joshua Bergasse (Smash, NBC) who re-created the film’s iconic choreography (originated by Jerome Robbins) with this dance tribute. Some of the dancers taking part in the flash mob have performed in productions of “West Side Story” and/or currently performing in the Broadway productions of “Follies,” “Chicago,” “Phantom of the Opera,” “Rock of Ages” and “Wicked.”
