Here's an update on those Indiana Jones covers which surfaced on the web last month: according to our friends over at http://www.axelmusic.dk, the Indy covers originated from an official Scandinavian sell-sheet used to promote Paramount's fall release schedule. The covers were merely mock-ups that used existing VHS art and were intended to illustrate that the trilogy is indeed coming on DVD in Fall 2003. I've been assured that this explanation comes directly from a sales representative at Paramount Scandinavia and that the real Indy DVDs will certainly look much different when they are released (possibly no chapters numbers at the bottom). Paramount's official U.S. retail site has started listing the titles and even has incomplete key art posted for each. Most interesting is this piece:
which may or may not be the cover of the box set or a bonus disc. Look for the Indy series to see its DVD release this November. Thanks to Rasmus for the Scandinavian scoop!
