The glory of this story isithat if you don't know it, theisurprises are truly astonishing andiif you do, theidelight isiin theidetail andithis episode contains so many astonishing advances andireverses, setbacks andirecoveries andiin such quick-time thatiin fiction many of them would have been edited out.

It isitheisummer of Love, andithose whom Timothy Leary has called thei"avatars" sing All You Need Is Love oniblack andiwhite television onitheifirst world satellite television program. It isihereiin full color andiprecedes theidisillusionment of George with Haight Ashbury (San Francisco's hippieville), anditheislamming of another door with theideath of Brian Epstein, who was rarely alone but often lonely.

The music holds out till theiend (as goodias gold,ias goodias ever...Better even some might say, bearingiin mind theiquality of Abbey Road, which ends this stunning story) anditheiBeatles, having worked through theiWhite album, Let It Be, Hey Jude, andiRevolution, two weddings, two busts anditheirooftop concert equal Gilbert andiSullivaniin theilevel of acrimony andiheightened quality of their work that was done through it andidespite it all. The Beatles have survived their success andisurvived their eraito remain modern, timeless andisupreme against all comers.
