Wonder Woman - Wonder Woman - Season 3 Date & Box: Red, White, and...


The 3rd and final season of Wonder Woman picked up where the second year left off: in modern times, with modern adventures and modern people for the amazing Amazon to protect. No wonder that guest stars included hearthrob pop star Leif Garrett and NFL "Fearsome Foursome" Hall-of-Famer Deacon Jones!

Other guest stars this season included Lance LeGault, Craig T. Nelson, Ed Begley Jr., Joe E. Tata, Roddy McDowall, Gavin MacLeod, Russell Johnson, Wolfman Jack, Robert Alda, Shields & Yarnell, Ted Shackelford and Joan Van Ark (before their Knot's Landing team-up!), Rene Auberjonois, Tim O'Connor, Sarah Purcell, Judge Reinhold, Rick Springfield, Dick Butkus, James Sloyan, Jared Martin, and Marc Alaimo.

With the second season scheduled to hit store shelves tomorrow, we have the first heads-up for you about the Wonder Woman - The Complete 3rd Season DVDs! You can expect that to arrive on June 7th, if the current schedule holds.

Moreover, we have your first look at the box art for that! Since the first season set was in a Red box, and the second season set is in a White box, what could be more appropriate than a true Blue box for the final season of Wonder Woman? Here's a look at all three DVD packages for the series; since we're the first site with the 3rd Season artwork, we've decided to sneak our site logo onto the art for now, to maintain our exclusivity for just a little while. We don't usually do that, and we'll remove it once the art is generally available. Stay tuned for more details about this release, once the formal announcement is made.

Wonder Woman - Wonder Woman lassos final release date



The final 24 episode season of Linda Carter's Wonder Woman has been officially announced for June 7th, a date we announced a few weeks ago. The release will contain a full frame (1.33:1) picture, mono soundtrack and English, French and Spanish subtitles.

Lynda Carter episode commentary
The Ultimate Feministicon documentary
Part of the second wave of 2005's yearlong celebration of Warner Television's 50th anniversary, Wonder Woman will be packaged with not one, but two bonus DVDs containing episodes of other shows. The ongoing rebate program will also be in effect, which rewards consumers for purchasing multiple qualifying sets.

Also on tap for June 7th is the first season of Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman, and possibly the yet-unannounced The Adventures of Superman starring George Reeves as the "Man of Steel."

Wonder Woman - Correction regarding bonus DVDs part 2


Yesterday I mentioned that Wonder Woman Season 3 would come bundled with 2 bonus DVDs celebrating the 50th anniversay of Warner Television. That was incorrect; the set will come with one DVD containing "Joy Riders" from the 1974 series, Shazam!
