De la informacion que o tengo Cars 2 y Rey Leon van caja metalica ya sea SteelBook o IronPack, el año pasado se dio el mismo rumor del Wave 2 y no se hizo nada.

Los 3 Disneys CAN/USA/MEX no estan coordinados en este tema, Scanavo puede que les presente los mismos diseños.

Ya vi la famosa hoja de Blockbuster y NO se menciona ninguna version SteelBook.

gonza, scanavo tiene unas ediciones de unos boxes steelbook con libro que si es eso, van a ser un boom. Estas cajas solo son para los ejecutivos de Disney y pixar. habra que ver que onda.

La imagen es de un steelbook, que indica que es un blu ray, aunque en la info. de YesAsia marca que es una edicion DVD R3 y revisando la fecha de lanzamiento indica que fue lanzada el 8 de Agosto del 2011, tons... que paso aqui?

The only way to guarantee that you get a copy is to preorder it online from Futureshop.ca. With very limited quantity this year, preorders on Futureshop.ca will be filled with priority. Los canadienses NO son SteelBook eso esta100% confirmado; Cars 2 es un SteelBook G1 para el juego de wii (tengo 2 de esos en venta)

First and foremost, I would like to remind everyone that the reason why IronPack is no longer being sold is due to them infringing on trademark rights held by G&M/Scanavo for the SteelBook product.

This new metal packaging that everyone is talking about, and is listed on the FutureShop pre-orders is shown below.

I am making this post to inform you all, so you can make up your purchasing decision on your own. Some other Countries are releasing some of these in SteelBooks so if that is what you prefer just get with one of the mods or search the SteelBook forum to find the steelbooks for those titles.

Running a community site for blu-ray collectors and then also running bluraysteelbooks.com can sometimes put me in a tight situation. We try to cover all collectible packaging because it will get posted by our members regardless, and we like to keep the forums tidy.

On the other hand, the same way IronPack got shut down, this new packaging might and probably will get shut down to. It looks pretty close to the same.

So make up your own mind on this product, as I presume each person will. I myself am a steelbook fan through and through. But we have staff members and members here who dont care so long as its metal. I apologize in advance to you members if it feels like I take sides, but just remember ... I'm a collector just like your first, and webmaster second. So sometimes my feelings get the better of me. :p

It will be interesting none the less to see whether this package is a rip off, quality made, or an outright inferior product. Time will tell.

Until then, based on all my findings and HEARD here first ... here is what I have gathered to be the product. There is a regular version, and slim version case. They do embossing and things of that nature too. One of their marketers is that of the same company who deals with what we call the Blu-ray Steel Cases. IE. The blu-ray metal slip covers from Australia. It looks as if VIVA is the parent company of Brackley Industries or just that Brackley markets for them "down under".

En este tema les anuncie en Agosto de 2011 la disponibilidad de los Vivia Metal Box y pues ahora les paso la información de que no van mas.

Una demanda que puso la empresa Glud & Marstrand que tiene los derechos de diseño de la caja SteelBook (<- ¡por eso el TM!) acabo con estas cajas, esta es la segunda caja que eliminan del mercado después de los Iron Pack (Toy Story 3) quedando ahora solo los Metal Pak (Iron Man 2 Target) pero ese es el mas chafo de todos después de las Tin Cases (cajas de chocolates).

A ver como se ponen los precios de las ediciones que salieron y mas los de Disney.

Me llama la atención que la demanda se presento en USA para varias compañías extranjeras y por lo poco que he leído esto no es una corte internacional, en fin los gringos en todos lados meten su cuchara y fuerte.

Personalmente creo que VMB le dio un quien vive a SB, mejores diseños, muy buenos acabados y les acaparo igual que IP a Disney en varios países por lo que creo que esto es lo que mas le duele a Scanavo, después de que las 12 semanas Disney de Future Shop en 2009 fueron un parte aguas a tal grado que sin anunciarlo los llevaron a Best Buy USA y tambien creo que al no poder concretar de nuevo la serie se fueron con todo contra estas 2 compañias mas con la salida de 7 IPs en 2010, mis 20 centavos.
